Additional items of note
Suppressors are ATF regulated. To purchase a suppressor, you must meet the below qualifications:
- Reside in one of the 42 states that allow ownership. (see below for list)
- Be a resident of the United States.
- Be legally eligible to purchase a firearm.
- Pass a BATFE (bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives) background check.
- Be at least 21 years of age to purchase from a dealer.

When you submit your paperwork to the ATF, you must:
- Have a valid ID in the state of your selected dealer.
- Pay a $200 Tax Stamp to the ATF
- Submit fingerprints with your Form 4.
- Bring 2 passport acceptable photos with you
States that allow civilian Suppressors
AL, AK, AZ, AR, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY. Note: Even if you live in one of the states listed, you should still verify that owning a suppressor is legal in your area.
